Puig and Kawasaki Racing Team renew their technical collaboration

The official team of Kawasaki in WorldSBK and the manufacturer of accessories Puig have renewed their collaboration agreement for the 2019 and 2020 seasons

Puig has been the technical supplier of the Kawasaki Racing Team during the 2017 and 2018 seasons, where the green team won the title of riders and constructors in the World Superbike Championship.

Biel Roda, marketing manager of the KRT, highlighted the commercial and technical collaboration with the manufacturer: "Our relationship with Puig is an important factor within the Kawasaki Racing Team project. Puig performs a product development work using 3D simulation technology, which allows us to improve in the aerodynamic section.

For many seasons, Provec Racing has equipped Puig screens on its bikes: “Its proximity to the KRT headquarters and the ease of working with this family company and passionate about competition are also important factors for us. We are very happy to be able to renew the commercial and technical collaboration with Puig."

Based in Granollers (Barcelona) - the same town where the Kawasaki Racing Team headquarters are located - Puig has been designing, manufacturing and distributing accessories for motorcycles since 1964. He is currently one of the largest manufacturers in the accessory sector, with exports to more than 60 countries.

The commitment to high competition from the hand of the Kawasaki Racing Team is a reflection of the will of Puig to remain at the forefront of technological innovation in motorcycling.

Joan Puig, CEO of Motoplastic Puig: "The continued and close technical collaboration with the KRT team has allowed us over the years to test new materials, shapes and designs that are already being applied in the products of this new catalog.”

With this collaboration, Kawasaki Racing Team and Puig hope to achieve a new championship title in WorldSBK with Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam as riders.
